Info about the new Disney cruise "The Wish".
Disney Ship “Wish”
From the ‘Florida Today’ and USA Today Network – Florida, Sunday, 9 May 2021
There are dining experiences based on “Stars Wars” and Marvel superheroes.
Scheduled to sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, June, 9, of 2022. She will sail with three- and four – nights to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay.
The upper deck will have a new 760-foot waterslide called the “Aqua Mouse”. The upper deck also has “Mermaid Lagoon”, a “Toy Story” area and an adults-only area.
Children will have a Oceaneer Club, which hasn’t been on any other Disney ship. Children will enter the Club through small, round portal. Upon entering, it turns into a slide that whisks them into the Club. Sorry adults, it’s not for you. Adults have a special entrance - it’s call a door. The Club is for kids ages 3 to 12.
There will be a Superhero Academy where young passengers can train with some of their favorite characters, such Spider Man, Black Panther, Ant Man and the Wasp.
In Fairy Tale Hall, the kids will be able to enjoy the Rapunzel art studio, where they can make their own picture; the Belle library and Anna and Elsa’s Summer haus themed for ‘Frozen’.
In the Walt Disney Theater, there will be three shows, one being “Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular". The other two are still a secret. There are three new entertainment concepts: The Grand Hall Stage located in the atrium, Luna and Hero Zone.
For the adults
A “Star Wars” themed lounge called the “Hyperspace Lounge, a “Beauty and the Beast” themed lounge called the “The Rose”, and a “Palo Steakhouse”.
There are 1,254 staterooms which are larger and most have an ocean view, and will have 4,000 passengers. The Wish will have rooms above the bridge of the ship. The Wish will be powered by liquefied natural gas. This is a cleaner-burning fuel than marine bunker oil.
Rumor says there will be two more Disney ships after the Wish.
There are three restaurants:
Arendelle - live shows based on “Frozen”
1923 – named after the year Walt Disney Studios opened. The food will be inspired by Hollywood and California flavors.
The World of Marvel - Diners will play a role in missions.
