DW and I got our first vaccine shots Tuesday. After we got the shot, they made an appointment for the second shot. A little soreness in the arm, but nothing else. I sure hope these work. I'm ready to go get a haircut (DW has been trimming my hair for almost a year), ready to go to our favorite restaurants (we've been doing doordash and grubhub occasionally), and start making plans for a WDW trip. We will continue wearing our masks, using hand sanitizer and staying out of crowds until the experts say it's OK to come out of hiding. Anyone else had the shot? I'd like to hear from the "Guests", too. Just sign it. It's easy and doesn't cost anything.

DH and I and the boys don't plan to rush out to get the vaccine. We want to make sure those in higher risk categories have access to them first. Jared's GF works in health care and with the elderly, so she will be getting it. Our priest is also a chaplain at one of the big Charleston hospitals, so he got both of his already and said the same thing- just a little soreness.

DW and I wanted to get our vaccine early because we have a few of the underlying conditions. We both are over 65, we both are diabetic and we both have had pneumonia. Our primary doctor at Mayo Clinic told us to get the vaccine as soon as we could. So we did.

I can’t wait to get it. DH got his because he works in a hospital. DD will bet hers in the next couple of weeks as she is in the health field. I was in the next group after 65 and up, those because of medical issues, but the Gov. decided to move us to group four. Group three will be essential workers and teachers. So young healthy people will take precedence over those that stand a good chance of dying should they get it. Although that means my two boys will get it as one is TSA and the other a manager of a store dreamed essential.

DW and I got our second Moderna vaccine yesterday. We both have a little soreness in the arm where we got the shot. Most of the people we know who have had both shots have had some mild to severe side effects. We are just waiting and hoping we don't have the bad side effects.

Dave I’m glad you both got it. NC just went to phase 3, teachers, school staff, and daycare staff started today.

For the first time in more than a year, DW and I are going out to get hair cuts, going to a restaurant for lunch (outside seating), and going to a seafood restaurant for an evening of 'all-you-can-eat' crab legs (not all on the same day). All of our dining companions have had both of the COVID-19 shots. We will still have our masks on when we're not eating and have at least three feet distance. And I ain't hugging or kissing nobody!
I'm still waiting for the CDC to say it's completely safe to go to theme parks. I know which park I'm going to. It's where the Mouse lives.
