to the Okefenokee Swamp State park in southern Georgia. Until Irma is out of here, we are not making plans for anything except to evacuate if necessary. We even turned down a trip to the Food and Wine Festival with DD and SIL. They are going today and had planned to return on Monday. Irma might change their plans. We live in Northeast Florida (about 10 miles south of Jacksonville), and some reports say that the eye of Irma will barely miss us. Other reports say that the eye will pass right over us. We have plenty of supplies to hunker down if we can, but will leave if that's the safest thing to do. We have a large generator and plenty of gas so we can keep our microwave oven, some lamps, a computer, fridge and freeze running; we cook and heat water with gas so we can have hot food and take hot showers; we have a portable air conditioner so we can keep a couple of rooms cool. We have survived other storms without electricity, but not storms with the power of Irma. We should know what the authorities want us to do by Thursday afternoon. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Pray you stay safe. If you leave head west. Seems like the states above you will all be I,patted. We leave Disney on Sunday and it looks like we will be driving through tropical storm winds. I just hope by then I95 will be cleared up of some of the traffic. Having hot water is always one of the better things. I remember hurricane Fran and three or four days of cold showers. Praying for your safety.

Praying for you guys too! We are prepped here with our generator, water and food, and we can cook on camp or gas stoves if power goes out. I am less worried about flooding at our house, even though we are right next to a river, and more worried about downed trees. We are waiting for more accurate predictions of whether it's going to come for the Charleston area and how strong it will be to decide if we stay or go.

Here's hoping all of us survive the storm safely and with no damage to us or our stuff. I've lived in this area all my life and have been in several hurricanes. I didn't like them and I don't like Irma. Sydney, I'm also concerned about falling trees. Our house backs up to a conservation area full of trees. Most of them are tall enough to reach the back of our house. If any of your trees fall, I hope they miss! Cheryl, based on the last report I saw, you will be leaving Disney at just the right time. Be safe.

Dave I hope your doing okay. We left Disney a day early. At 6:30am Thursday the parking lot at POR was filling up with linemen and the trucks. We decided to leave a day early to free up the room for one of them or someone seeking safety.

Well we survived Irma with just minimal damage to one section of our fence. It was actually less than when Matthew came through last year. Dave- I hope y'all made it through ok. Cheryl- I hope you guys made it home safely.
