Well, nothing is going to get me getting photos uploaded to Photobucket like starting a trip report, right? For starters, here are all the outfits I made for Kaitlyn. We forgot to take pictures in the room every morning, so some of these are from Thanksgiving weekend when I tried them all on her to double check the length, especially on the ones that needed to be hemmed by hand. (Pardon the printed dress beneath these Thanksgiving pictures) Top and pants for Crystal Palace breakfast (winter Pooh fabric) Tinkerbell dress with "K" applique Peter Pan dress and pinafore Animal Kingdom dress with Mickey applique (handsewn applique) Little Mermaid dress I Love Mickey dress with handsewn applique Mickey pockets jumper Studios top and skirt

Bright and early we hit the road, off to Valparaiso, FL to meet up with my parents at their college friends' house. We had breakfast with Mr. Pat and Mrs. Louise, and Kaity left with a snoring puppy dog and a flamingo beanie baby. We continued down the road and got checked in at Caribbean Beach after sunset...only to find that NONE of our requests had been honored. Not the building we requested (which was least of our requests), and certainly not the first floor that we requested (which was utmost on importance level). Not the best start, but we did get it ultimately straightened out and got first floor rooms right next to each other in Aruba. The kicker--both of our rooms were connecting---but not to each other! After we got unloaded, we decided to head out for dinner, ultimately deciding on Olivia's. Kaity was so well-behaved, this Cast Member gave her a special Tinkerbell pin--one for her, and one for us to give to someone else during our trip. After dinner, we decided to explore the decorations at the Old Key West lobby, and Kaity got a balloon flower from another CM! She loved it! Then we headed back to the room...Kaity's introduction to the theme parks--Animal Kingdom!

We thought we were just going to grab breakfast on the run, but my dad said we should go see how the crowds were at Fort Wilderness for breakfast at Trail's End. We drove past FW and he decided there were too many cars in the lot, so we'd try Whispering Canyon instead. Only he missed the exit to the Wilderness Lodge. So, he said, we'd see if we could get into Chef Mickey's. Off to the Contemporary we went. I was doubtful, but unbeknownst to us, while my parents were getting their room situated the night before, they'd gotten an ADR to Chef Mickey's and surprised us!!! Great picture of Bill and Kaity looking out over Bay Lake We weren't sure how Kaity would do with the characters, but we needn't have worried. SHE LOVED THEM! First encounter, was Miss Minnie! Then Pluto! Goofy (I think someone was smitten) Mickey (when he left Kaity started saying "Mick! Mick!") And Donald (another favorite--DUCK! DUCK!) We had a great time, and after breakfast we headed off to the Animal Kingdom. (more to come later....)

Lovin' the pics so far- sure looks like you're having fun! And the dresses are adorable! (It took a lot of time for me to use Stitch Witchery to make a simple cape for DH's costume, I can't imagine the efforts you've put in!)
