Where do you go your first day?

do you have a special "tradition" for your first day? if i get to my resort during the day, i check in and go right to the MK.
seems like my first and last day (not to mention any in between)
have to be at the MK

anyone else have a first day tradition?

It's usually afternoon when we arrive, so we head to Downtown Disney and our tradition seems to be getting dinner at Olivia's. LOL

We usually drive down the day before and stay offsite. We then check-in early at our Disney hotel and head to either Animal Kingdom or DHS. I don't like to go to MK the first day because I like to build up to it. We also try to do a really fun dinner the first night.

We usually just explore whichever resort we are at.

We always to MK on the first day but more specifically we do lunch at Casey's Corner and ride Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. It just doesn't feel like the trip has begun until we've done those three things.

We always seem to change it up. We arrive at different times, and do different parks as our first, so we don't have a set routine- but I think I like it that way for us.

We always go to Downtown Disney first. We have lunch at Cap'n Jack's and look at pins, magnets, antenna toppers and T-shirts at World of Disney. We usually go to the other stores and look. There is always something new just waiting for our money.

We always just stay around the resort and relax.

when we get there we like to do DHS first b/c it is already afternoon by then and we can usually get a fair bit done. our first full day I like to do rope drop at MK that is my "official" disney start. and I usually cry... good tears.
