it started raining sometime during the night....and is supposed to rain all day.. only thing i heard about the weather is the river watchers are concerned that the warmer weather and rail will melt all the snow to quickly and the river will go up to fast... although i am on the 12th floor of my bldg, if they have any problems the river is really close to me... will try to get a pix from my patio to show how close it is..
CAROLB... i know you are down river from me, but how close to the river are you?
Hope everyone along the storms path is out of danger.... heard there were some nasty storms and even a few tornados out there last night and late yesterday?
hey Jen... how is NOLA... heard they got some bad weather too in LA.. hope it didnt ruin your trip

Sunny and in the 30's here. All the snow we had melted on Friday and the first half of Saturday, then we got another 2 inches of fresh snow yesterday afternoon and evening. I prefer looking at nice new snow than brown dead grass and mud.

It's gone back to being cold again. It was STORMING yesterday...Bill and I nearly got caught in it making a Sam's run (for my new Keurig--$140 for the Signature plus 60 K-cups and the personal K-cup filter). Fortunately we didn't have any plans to go to parades since Kaity and I are sick. A couple got cancelled and the big one Endymion got moved to tonight, now following Bacchus.

It was supposed to rain all day, but so far it's just cloudy and windy. The temp is about 72.

I am actually pretty close to the river itself, but very far above the banks, so my neighborhood is not in a flood plan. The river is "high" for March but still far below flood levels. Areas near us flood regularly, but not my immediate neighborhood. Flood waters in our town tend to be more small stream related than river related. Again, none near me, thankfully.

We ended up with snow afterall. All the schools were closed, we had the rain, then sleet/freezing rain and snow....only about 3 inches of snow, but my DH said there was about an inch of "semi frozen slush" below that. Now, at almost noon, anything that was shoveled is almost dry...that's the good news about March snow storms.

Warm/hot 82 degrees today. Went to Everglades National park with some church friends today, and we were sweating!
