Sometimes in life there are hard choices e have to make in life. Sometimes they have to be made with other and sometimes alone. My DH and his brither have now come to that point in life. I hope they csn come to the same one without much resentment, arguments. Sometime this week they will get together with the Dr. A case worker and decide on weather they will put his dad on a feeding tube. If they don't he will have three or four weeks. If they do then it will be by the end of the year. My FIL has a living saying he does not want any measures taken but bil may not honor it.please keep DH in yoir prayers as he goes through this hard time.

That's so tough, Cheryl. I helped my mom make some of the same decisions before my dad passed away, and there is a lot of second guessing and questions. Many prayers that your husband and brother will agree and will make the best decision possible.

Many prayers to you and your family. Not to start a debate, but I thought the reason for a living will was so this wouldn't happen and the wishes of the person would be honored (not to force family choices but by the facility). So sorry for you all.....

Thanks everyone. Seems as if his brother didn't care to meet and went ahead and put the tube in. So now it's a waiting game.
