I started Weight Watchers a few weeks ago, and I was wondering if anyone had any good tips for healthy eating while at WDW. I am trying to focus on healthier choices.
Any snack ideas or resturants that offer healthier options would be appreciated.
The good thing is that I always get lots of exercise while at WDW so that's one thing I am not worried about.

I wouldn't worry too much, with all the walking you are bound to get 30+ activity points a day. As long as you don't go crazy indulge in the things you want. Drink plenty of water!

I usually bring diet friendly snacks from home & pick up a few at the local Walmart. I also try not to go overboard on the non-diet friendly items. It doesn't always work but I try to resist the rice crispy treats & cotton candy! LOL I do like to hit the Main Street Bakery for a sandwich on wheat bread. I also try to grab a salad &/or fruit whenever possible. Many of the snack carts had fruit available during our October trip last year.

Cotton candy is actually fairly healthy when it comes to snacks. On WW an ounce is 3 points, and that's a whole bag of the kind the sell at WDW. you can't just eat that, but it is ok

There are more options for healthier food at WDW. You can take advantage of more of the fruit stands and some of the lighter meals. I know the fruit may have sugar and not being part of WW I don't know what kind of points that adds up to but natural sugar and the fiber in the fruits always digest better than processed sugar. From experience the healthy choices do not always stand out, or at least for me I have to work at choosing what to eat. One thing I can say is don't diet like you are sitting at a desk all day long. You will probably need some carbs to help you make it through the day walking around disney.

I've found some great lighter options at Tangierine Cafe (Morocco), Cosmic Ray's, Pecos Bill's, The Plaza, and Columbia Harbor House. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.

Now that WW assigns Zero Points for all fruits & most veggies, there are a lot of very point friendly options at WDW. You can get an entree-sized salad with protein almost everywhere, and all the parks have fresh fruit options and zero calorie beverages so you can stay hydrated.
And I agree with the above comment about accumulating lots of Activity Points from all the walking.
I too am planning to be mindful of my WW points on my Disney trip, but will definitely indulge in the treats I REALLY want to have. I just won't be having a junk food free-for-all (as I have done on occasion before in WDW).
Good luck!

Water, water , water! We didn't have a problem bringing our own bottled water into the parks, and you can order water from everywhere too. If you want to add some flavor to it, bring those little packets like Crystal Light, or even the Wal-Mart brand has them, for zero calories.

Thanks for all the tips! I am worried that all that delicious snack food will trip me up! I did find out that Dole Whips isn't actually a pretty good snack on the plan so all seems right with the world! Any other ideas or tips are still appreciated!
