Which would you choose? We are still going back and forth about where to stay during our October trip (which means we will probably end up back at Pop Century ;D).
We have two girls ages 3 and 5. I was originally thinking POR because of the trundle bed, but they have been sharing a bed at home recently so that's not a big concern. DH and I both used to live in New Orleans so the theme to POFQ is appealing as is the smaller size. POR seems to be a bit more kid-friendly though....
What to do, what to do?

From what I understand there is less walking at POFQ than POR. We've stayed at POR (Mansions side) and that was a LOT of walking after a long day at the parks. Either way you're very close to the River Roost at POR and Yehaa Bob's show!

We would chose POR because of the trundle bed option, and atmosphereatmosphere since we visit New Orleans on our trips to Texas a lot, we'd want to try something different. But POFQ looks pretty and we really enjoyed their "food court" too. I'm with jennie on the size though with the younger kids.

YeHaa Bob Jackson has a show there Wed - Sat nights (I think those are the right nights). It's great--audience participation, family friendly, and a hoot! Bob plays boogie-woogie type music and is a master at what he does. Definitely worth seeing!

I would go with POFQ because I prefer the theming, it's a smaller resort, and the pool is very kid friendly for the smaller ones.

Thanks for all the input. I am still mulling it over. I guess the best part is that both resorts are great so it's a win no matter which one we choose.

We have never stayed at POR (although SaraLou and DDKristin stayed there the summer Kristin got married in Orlando and they liked it) but I have stayed at FQ and am returning there next week. The pool is not really an issue for me, but it did look very neat....a slide, but evidently the POR slide is bigger. Sister resorts, so you can use each others pools. That sad, transportation is often shared between the 2 resorts and when it is, the bus stop for FQ is first on, and then on the return it is first off....which is good, since the bus can be filled as it makes its way through the various POR stops before leaving the resort. They set up a portable movie screen on the grassy area between buildings to show movies at least once a week (maybe more often, not sure). During our last stay, Robin Hood (the disney version of course) was playing. Since it was Feb and cold there was hardly anyone watching, but they still set it up. I like the smallness of the resort. I posted some pics in the resorts section above. Here is a great link for both of the resorts, for more info.... www.portorleans.org/The have a forum, so you could ask questions there. A resort map can help you see the distance between and the size difference. www.portorleans.org/images/Port%20Orleans%20Map.pdf

If DW and I are by ourselves it's POFQ. If we have family with us it's POR.

POFQ. beacause it is smaller. It shares the bus with POR but get picked up first so most times having to stand isn't an issue. Pool is better the POR. HOpe to go back there soon oh and from what I gave heard they now have queen beds.

Just back from another wonderful stay at FQ. Will post pics in the resort pics section of this board, once all are uploaded in photobucket. We requested first floor, bldg 6 and got it. Loved the pool and hot tub, which were just a short walk. On some of our bus trips, we did not share with Riverside, which was nice. On one "return from the park" trip, we did share, but since we were first off, no big deal! I really like it hear, without a doubt. Even though it was Spring break time, it didn't seem that crowded to me.
