Since the weather has been lousy, it brings up a question....
what do you do when it is a stormy morning and you are at WDW? started thinking about this since my trip is in august, and prior august trips seem to hit lots of rain...
so, what do you do if you wake up to pouring rain?
i grab the poncho and go anyway... (taking several pair of extra socks for when my feet get so wet i cant stand it) and usually leave my camera behind so it doesnt get ruined...and dont take much to carry that day either... a hairbrush, money and tickets...
what do you do?

You know, I have never woken up to rain at Disney although it has rained plenty of times after we've gotten to the park.
I would probably sleep in for a while if I woke up to a rainy day (bad rain vs. a light drizzle) and then go to the park later. It's no fun dragging around two kids and a stroller in the rain.

Throw on a poncho and head out! A rainy day at Disney is still a day at Disney to me.

Grab the poncho and bolt out the door. We can have as much fun on a rainy day as a dry day. We make a trip back to the room mid-day to change clothes if the rain lasts that long. Since DW is diabetic the only thing we have to worry about is her getting blisters from wet shoes and socks. The first sign of a blister and we're outta there.

I grab my baseball cap and my waterproof camera and whatever fits in my cast lanyard and go. It is actually my favorite time to go. I enjoy watching the people in the rain. Reminds me of working at the exit of the Buzz ride and having to kick people out of the doorway because it is a big safety hazard and they would look at me shocked that they HAD to get rained on.

I remember standing inside that doorway during many a late afternoon storm!!!! We usually grab (or purchase, if necessary) our ponchos and make our way out. Can't let a little (or even alot) of rain stop you, right?

Like the rest, I grab the poncho and keep going. I've had some great conversations with CMs while hiding out in their stores from the rain.
