Me, me, me! We're going April 19-26! This time it's just Ron and I. We really enjoyed the first ever "just the two of us" trip last Jan. for our anniversary, and though we had a blast last summer on the second trip with both boys and their girlfriends, Ron said the next trip I planned he wanted it to be just us. Plus we're celebrating my retirement from my first job on April 20th and Ron's birthday on the 25th. Taylor has a FL resident pass and his GF is a cast member, so he goes every few months. Jared is slightly jealous, but he's busy with school and work, plus he plans to get into the Disney College Culinary Program so he'll be there soon enough. I'll post more details once I have fast passes picked and can narrow down our plans. We're staying at Yacht Club with a garden view so we can be close to Epoct for Flower & Garden Festival and DHS for Star Wars.

Congrats on your April trip and your retirement. Does this mean you will be full time at the cotton candy factory? Lucky you! The Yacht Club is a good pick. Betty and I have stayed at the Yacht Club and the Beach Club. Other than the décor, I couldn't tell much difference. Both are really nice. Please let us know about Star Wars. I've read about it but I haven't talked to anyone who has been there. Better start packing. April will be here before you know it.

Thanks Dave! To answer your question, I have been full time at the cotton candy factory since last May and working weekends when scheduled (which is usually both Sat. & Sun. unless I ask off) at my original job. It's been tough but I've been putting the extra money into savings and squirreling some away for this trip, so it's nice that it will be paid for ahead of time.
I ultimately went with the Yacht Club because we really both enjoyed the balcony at BWI and Beach Club only has them in about half of their rooms, while YC has them in all rooms. When we went with the "kids" we didn't really use the balcony at WL- except to hang everyone's swimsuits on!
I went to base to purchase our tickets yesterday and fast pass picking day is coming up next week! Ron and I sat down and made a list of what we want to try for in order of priority. I'll let y'all know what I get.
We can't wait to see the new Star Wars stuff in person! I purposely haven't been looking at pictures and have only seen two pictures of Taylor and his GF there. He says the pictures don't even compare to real life though. They've done Smuggler's Run but since Rise of the Resistance opened they're not letting cast members into DHS, so they haven't been on that yet. She has some friends that went by using their comp. passes but someone must have caught on to that because now they are not letting CM's do that. When Taylor visited they got up all early to get a boarding group only to be turned away at the gate. We may end up going on it before him and he has a Florida resident pass!
My birthday was this past weekend and my brother and sis-in-law got me a wine goblet etched with "I'm Done Adulting, I'm Going to Disney" and a cute Mickey & Minnie tote bag. One of the things my mom got me was a tee with all four park logos and designs that says "Never Grow Up." They all know me too well!!! Those will be coming with me on the trip for sure!
