Yesterday, Sept. 27, Disney announced the discounts for military members and retirees are being extended through 2019!
I found out as I was leaving from getting my allergy shots and heading to work. I promptly got on the phone, was assisted by a wonderful CM, and our 6 night stay at the Boardwalk Inn reservation for Jan. now includes the discount, saving us about $1200!! I've already made dining reservations, so I just have to pick up tickets from the base outdoor recreation center and we'll be set to go! Now I just have to keep the secret from DH... 3 months to go!

YAY! Love those discounts. We live in Florida and used to get our tickets at NAS Jacksonville every year. Two years ago Disney stopped providing the Florida resident tickets to the base. Never did find out why. Now we get them at AAA. When in December are you going? We'll be at Coronado Springs December 10 - 15. We'll be at Coronado Springs for one night in October to break up a long drive to south Florida for a wedding. Any excuse go to Disney is a good excuse.
Good luck on keeping the secret from DH. I promise I won't tell.

That’s great. I’m hoping, although not counting on, the discount for a June trip. You got a great savings and yes you can keep it a secretary.

Dave- we're going mid Jan. but I plan on telling him in Dec. so he can make plans to be off work.
Cheryl- if you know when you want to go in June you can call and book a room only with the military discount. You just have to pay a deposit for the first night. I would now if I were you so you get your desired resort, category, and dates. They will sell out and it doesn't hurt to have it booked. They can generally change days as well if available.
