Checking into Caribbean Beach Resort for a few days next week. This is just a short stay at the end of a trip to several Florida cities and attractions. We're going to the national cemetery in Bushnell to visit DW's parents grave; going to Weeki Wachee Springs to see the mermaid show because we haven't been there in many years; going to the Florida Air Museum just because I am ex-military and an ex-pilot. Can't say no to military airplanes. And then to WDW. We have dinner ressies at Kona's the day we get there and lunch at Yak and Yeti the next day because we are going to Animal Kingdom for the day where we have FastPasses for UP! and Na'vi River Journey. We'll have breakfast at Olivia's the day we leave but the rest of the time we will just take our chances at different restaurants.
Hopefully since school has started it won't be too crowded. If it's crowded we'll just deal with it. We'll have a great time anyway. Don't care if it rains. We have ponchos and umbrellas (Disney, of course). We have lived in Florida all our lives. Ain't gonna let crowds or a little rain keep us from going to Walt Disney World.

Sounds like a fun trip! I absolutely loved Y&Y on our last visit. You should be able to see progress on the gondolas at CBR too. That's gonna be so neat when they finally get working.

We go to Y&Y every trip to Disney even if we don't plan to spend the day in the Animal Kingdom. Thanks for reminding me of the gondolas. I had forgotten about those. We are packing now and will leave about 10:00 tomorrow. We chose the attractions/hotels/resort so we would not have to drive more than about three hours a day. Getting old and can't do those impromptu 13 hour trips to visit DWs parents in Huntsville, Alabama. They finally moved to Florida a few years before they passed away. DW has bad back problems and has to use an electric cart. A cast member told me that the resort will waive the overnight parking fee if you have a valid handicap placard. I'll do the on-line check in and contact the front desk when we get to the room. Would be nice to save the $23.00 a night fee. I'm afraid Disney is going to price us out of trips to see the mouse. It seems that that they are raising prices and adding fees for every thing.

We have been to the Florida National Cemetery and now we are at the hotel at Weeki Wachee Springs. We'll go see the mermaids and ride the river cruise tomorrow. DW said, "Don't get too close to the mermaids". I said, "Yes ma'am". We've been married 40 years and I know a warning when I hear it. Ah, well. Then it's off to the Florida Air Museum. I love air planes but I will be glad to get to Caribbean Beach on Monday. We'll spend most of our time in the Animal Kingdom. Can't wait.
