I started collecting the coasters from restaurants at WDW. It started when we were in a restaurant and my coaster got really soggy. I asked our server if I could have a new one. She brought nine coasters and told me to take some home. I started asking servers if I could have a coaster to take home and I was flooded with coasters. One time I asked a server if I could keep a menu. I just wanted to look at the desserts. She thought I wanted to take it. She said "Not that one". She brought me a brand new pristine menu and told me I could take it home.
Those two incidents got me started. Now I have coasters from almost every restaurant and paper menus from many restaurants. I have menus from four Disney cruises. I have a bazillion Disney trading pins. It's a hard habit to break. I'm not even gonna try.

I thought I was the only one! I started collecting coasters in high school when we'd be on a school trip for dance, student council, Latin Club, or on church trips, then just out with friends. I'd have everyone sign them and they'd go in my scrapbook. Naturally when the family Disney trips began I kept collecting coasters and they go in my Disney scrapbooks.

I have coasters from other restaurants, too, but I keep the Disney coaster separate. I don't want to use the Disney ones "by mistake".
