Facebook is full of the latest news of closings (not rehabs, closings) at the Studios: wdwnt.com/blog/2016/01/honey-i-shrunk-the-kids-playground-and-several-other-studios-attractions-also-close-4216/Seems like a credible source that has pulled together several individual posts about closures....Lights, Camera, Action; The Honey I Shrunk the Kids Play area; The Streets of America; the Earfell Tower, and others. Pizza Planet is rehabbing, so it's not on the list of closures. I worry how busy everything else in the studios will be while all these areas are being re-imagined.

so sad I understand the need to improve and expand but they are closing some of my favorite things... I love Pizza Planet.. heard that is going to be a Muppet Themed Restaurant.. I am ok with that just love the pizza and cupcake and salad at pizza planet better than anywhere else loved the stunt show... was talking to a CM who mentioned her husband was a mechanic at the show and they are all contracted ... so he was out of a job... but he was lucky and Disney picked him up as a mechanic elsewhere.. he was at lights motor action since it opened... wonder how many people are out of work because of all the closings.. if they get moved that is one thing, but if they are now out of work...how sad for them loved catastrophe canyon... one niece got picked once...and I wasn't there...for the ship part ..heard she got soaked... kids love getting to do stuff.. will miss that... a line that moved quickly and you got to sit for a while....missed that on my last 2 trips it was already gone I haven't done the Honey I shrunk the kids play area in quite a few years but it was a nice place to sit and let the kids run for a while studio catering food wasn't too bad either...if it is the bldg. I am thinking of... nice place to get out of the rain too I did see American idol several times and that was pretty good... talented people always there legend of capt jack sparrow was cool... wont miss it though magic of animation was always a must do for me... I loved the movie at the end....tribute to walt... hope they find a place to put that movie... CHANGES CHANGES CHANGES... the down side to getting older... I like what I like and don't mess with it

I agree. I really miss some of the old attractions. Now I get to miss some more of them. We went to the Indiana Jones stunt show almost every trip, and the Lights, Motors, Action show about every third trip. Loved the food at Studio Catering. Got wet at Catastrophe Canyon many times.. Loved the cookies at Write Stop (may have been Writer's Stop). So many changes. Not sure I like most of them.

it just seems that there is so much space that there is lots of room for expansion... I know so many acres are left for natural habitat but there must be room for expansion without taking down things.
for example... I loved FROZEN.. have a 3 yr old great niece who will go nuts for the Frozen ride in Norway...BUT... there ad to be room to put it somewhere else and not take away the Malestrom.... sorry but Frozen doesn't seem to fit in Epcots Norway. should be at studios or MK

I don't like it either!

I don't like it either! I'm so over a Frozen. Something bigger is going too come alone, thinking Jungle Book. What will close for that? Toy Story land looks like only a few rides. With them adding the extra magic at an added cost for non resort people Disney is starting too loses its magic for me.

Yea, it was kind of sad seeing all the things gone, or soon to be gone, during our trip. Heck, I'm still in mourning over the loss of 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad! I know they are trying to stay relevant, but I wish they didn't have to get rid of the classics to do it.
