ok today is officially 94 days out...still seems like a long wait, since everyone at work is going now... i am going, now, Oct3-20th just called and added an extra day...was going to come home on a sunday but the air is so much cheaper on monday - like about $150 .. the room POP with a pool view is now $134 but when the annual passes come out, i hope it goes down.. details leaving with my aunt BJ and her friend Ellen.(both in their 70's and only to disney once, and only for few short hrs one day).. first choice was All Star Movies, 10/5-19.. but they are excluded from the free dining so moved to Music, then found out, had to check in by 10/3 for the free dining so moved ressie to 10/3-17...then when i heard their Music food court will be closed, i used this logic... anyone who has been at the all stars might agree...music is in the middle, buses go to sports first, then music then movies....so, i "assumed" (as i would do) most people would go to sports for breakfast and catch their buses from there...so i "assumed" sports would be packed all the time - sports people + music people...so i changed (again) to Pop.. with aunt and friend only wanted to hit the parks for 6 days and then they are leaving and i booked a 14 night pkg with 3 -6 day park tix...since they only want to go to the parks 6 times...ok..i was told i can upgrade to an annual when i check in...thats my plan..then when they leave i will go back and doo all the stuff they wont do like ToT R&RC Splash Mtn etc... then i thought..hmmm why come home on friday when i dont have to go to work until monday anyway...so got a single room for 2 nights....now air is so much cheaper to come home on monday than sunday...why not.... so now... i will be at POP CENTURY FROM OCT 3-20th... i think by that time Disney will have to throw me out...lol... i wont want to come home.. for sure... first time at the food and wine festival (i think that is why my aunt & her friend want to go) and just ordered my ticket for my first MNSSHP for oct 16th. so, i am so hyper about this trip.....18 full days... now try and talk my aunt and her friend to go to the HOOP DE DOO... tried to get tix for the WISHES DESSERT PARTY...but nothing available for any day...WOW THEY SOLD OUT FAST...my fault, first time i asked i was told tix go on sale 30 days out..so i waited, then on a hunch i called again...duh..it was 180 days and now i lost out...will keep trying until the last day though...really want to do this one
has anyone done the dessert party? did i really mess up on missing this one?

Honestly, the last time we did the dessert party it was pretty disappointing. First people thru the line cleared out a lot of desserts and they weren't replenished.

Your plans sound great! We absolutely love F&W, and you'll have a blast at MNSSHP too. If you really want to plan for F&W, check allears dining section for when they post the menus for all the booths. Then you'll get an idea of which ones you want to try. I made it a point last time to get the paper passport they give out and get it stamped at all the booths we tried. We tried every country and liked everything we picked but one item, and the only ones we skipped were the beer and coffee ones.

i have been watching for information about the food & wine festival. so far all i have found is the reports from last year, and i am assuming some will be the same..found a few notes about new things... i planned 2 days for the aunts to visit the food & wine festival ( i will be back probably 4 times) so i can try a lot of things... dont imagine i will be able to try to many things in one day. and i will have the time...after the aunts leave... i was thinking one day going over to the new bakery on the Boardwalk for breakfast, then taking the boat over to Epcot and entering thru International Gateway. does the boats go to the yacht & beach club from the gateway also? was thinking of going over to beaches & cream one day for lunch..... so much to do and enough time to do it all this time...even if it rains...

Yes, the boats go to Yacht and Beach Club resorts. I can't remember if both the Epcot and the Studios boats go to Y&BC, but at least one does.
I hope you have a great time. What am I saying? Of course, you'll have a great time. It's Disney World!

They go to both. Although from the gate it's not that far a walk to beaches and cream. From what I have seen tho you now have to make a reservation to there.

You can definitely take the friendship boats from the International Gateway over to Beaches and Cream...as well as the Boardwalk and Swan and Dolphin (and the Studios, of course), but if you are feeling good that day, it is a pretty short walk to Yacht and Beach Club from that area. We usually walk over.....easier to walk over, since it's downhill, than walking back . Also, usually quicker to walk.
