Hi everyone. I just read(on facebook) that there will be a new refillable mug program. The new mugs will have a chip in them which will allow you to operate the soda machines. They will be programed for the lenght of your stay. Here is a link I found.

I was at Sesame Place in Langhorne PA a few weeks ago and they had something like this. We bought a mug and refills were .99 each. When you paid they scanned the chip and you filled you drink. You had to put the cup on the soda machine and it would tell you to select the soda then would show on the screen how many refills there were left. If there were no refills left, it would tell you so. Water and ice were free.
I think it's a good idea to do this. I always see people use old mugs and even non disney mugs. It's ashame that it has to come to this, but that's what happens when people take advantage. It would be nice for them to offer refilable stations in the parks. Maybe in the future.

I don't like the change. Just hope it takes a while to "roll out". I stayed at All Stars a few years ago (maybe 2) when they first started using this at their resort. Tried to use my "old mug" (which I know some people don't believe is proper) and it didn't work. Since then, I have been at POFQ, WL and Pop and they had not made the transition. Looks like everyone will be doing it now.
