We've looked over menus, and I think we came up with a good plan for using our dining plan during our visit. We're not sure of what day we're doing each park, because schedules haven't come out yet. But when they do, and when we can make adr's we'll be ready. (we're staying at CSR, btw)
Arrival day: bf- from home l- on the road d- Big River Grill, then explore the Boardwalk
MK day: bf- Grand Floridian cs (new) l- Tony's d- Pecos Bill's
Epcot day: b- Pepper Market l- Food & Wine Festival d- Food & Wine Festival
DHS day: b- quick bite (we'll bring a few things from home) l- Sci-Fi d- Fairfaxe Fare (new)
AK, then MK day: b-Boma l- Yak & Yeti d- Be Our Guest (new), or Plaza
Down Day: b- Pepper Market l- Kona (new for lunch) d- Whispering Canyon (new for dinner)
Departure Day: bf- from home l- Pepper Market or from DTD d- on road
Whatcha think?

Love your plan! We did Big River our first night too. It's great because you don't need ADR's and the food (and beer) are really good. You have a nice mix of old and new. We put Be Our Guest on our upcoming July trip for dinner. When are you going? I will be interested in your review. Also let me know how you like Kona Cafe for lunch....I've only had dinner there.

Thanks Marge. I didn't know you didn't need adr's for BRG- that'll make our arrival day more flexible. DH wanted to know if you recommend any beer there. We're goin Nov.5-11, so I'll want to hear your review of Be Our Guest. I'll be on the phone the first day I can trying to get that one. We're doing Kona for lunch because we want to do all-you-can-eat bbq at Whispering Canyon for dinner. My oldest and I are more adventurous eaters, but youngest and DH aren't as much. They thought they'd like the pan Asian noodles or the Asian noodle bowl- do you like either of these?

Info for your husband- I tried all of Big River's beer by ordering a flight. You get a 4 oz. sample of 5 or 6 beers. I forget the names but I really liked the red beer and the stronger, hoppier brews best. If he likes craft beer he will know what I mean. The servers know a lot about the beer, so if he describes what he likes, they will make recommendations.
I've never eaten lunch @ Kona but it looks good. At dinner I usually get the scallops. There are a lot of sandwiches & a burger on the lunch menu along with the noodle bowl, so I'm betting there will be something to suit all of your tastes. Also, downstairs at the quick service place Captain Cook's you can get a Dole Whip now!
I will be sure to share my Be Our Guest review. Beast's Castle looks SO ominous and awesome! Hopefully the food is good....I know the atmosphere will be great.
Isn't it fun to plan?!?!
