Anyone have any suggestions for discounts for rental cars? We will not be renting at the Orlando airport, as we are flying into a different smaller airport in Clearwater. Most of the prices I am seeing are very high. Any tips or suggestions. I am a member at Dollar, National and Alamo, so maybe I just need to be patient for those "last minute" deals!

I usually make one reservation early on and then make another one the week before we go because the rates are so much cheaper. Then I go back and cancel my first reservation. It seems like a waste of time, but usually save quite a bit by doing this.

Mousesavers usually has discount codes, I've used them before for codes even outside of Orlando.

I only rented once...actually my friend who drives did... we used it for sea world, universal and to find wal mart..the car spent more time in the resort parking lot than on the road .. so i never did again.. sorry... since going to Fla usually means staying on property, we never bothered...
