Saturday 12/29/12 Day 9
We had another relaxing morning in our room at OKW before heading out to Epcot for our last day of Christmas @ Disney 2012. I walked up to the Hospitality House to print out our boarding passes for Sunday. I had already retrieved the Magical Express notification letter that was hanging on our door this morning and called Bell Services to arrange our ride up to Hospitality House for 7:15 am. Disney really streamlines your resort arrival and departure, adding much ease to the vacation experience.
We boarded the bus to Epcot around noon. It was 74 and sunny, a beautiful and warmish sunny day. The forecast was calling for a 20 degree drop in temperature around 4 pm, so we brought our jackets with us.
First we headed back toward Test Track to see if it had re-opened yet (the mobile magic app was reporting that it was temporarily closed, but we thought we might catch a fast pass). It was still closed and all the FP's were gone. So we made our way past Odyssey over to the Mexico pavilion, where we had a quick service lunch at the Cantina de San Angel. We shared nachos, empanadas, a corona light and a frozen margarita. It was nice out on the patio overlooking World Showcase Lagoon- there was a nice breeze to offset the warmth of the day. When we visit during the summer it's always way too hot to eat outside, so we really enjoyed our lunch in Mexico.
As we finished our meal, we realized we hadn't visited the Universe of Energy yet on this trip. So we headed back to future world and spent 45 minutes with Ellen and Bill Nye the Science Guy. (Oh..... And Stupid Judy. Stupid Energy).

Next we went back to Test Track, which was up and running with a 150 minute standby line. We opted for the 30 minute single riders line, and it turned out to be very accurate. We were happy to squeeze in another TT ride on such a busy day in Epcot!

We spent the next couple of hours shopping at Mouse Gear and then wandering through the countries in World Showcase. We stopped to watch the band and belly dancer in Morocco. I took lots of pictures in World Showcase because it was such a beautiful day, and it was the last day, and I just wanted to squeeze every moment and capture every image. We were hoping to catch the American Adventure show before dinner, but we would be cutting it too close to our reservation time, so we meandered on over to Boardwalk and had drinks at the Boardwalk's Belle Vue Lounge before dinner. We enjoyed the comfy chairs and the radio programs while we sipped and chatted.

Dinner tonight was Greek food at Iron Chef Cat Cora's Kouzzina. I wish I could describe the heavenly aroma when we opened the doors to enter! Our server's name was Ann, and she was a lot of fun. The food was fantastic. We shared a shrimp on warm hummus with pita bread appetizer. Mickey had whole roasted yellow tail snapper which was expertly filleted table side. I had the tasting trio, which was Greek style lasagna, spicy lamb burger, and cinnamon stewed chicken with orzo. Everything was really tasty. I was nervous when we first tried this place, because I wasn't sure what to expect. Now I know to expect yummy, interesting, comforting favors. There's nothing too spicy or too far out on this menu. We topped off the meal by sharing a dessert sampler of baklava, Greek donuts, and a very light custardy tasting cheesecake. I wanted a pot of pressed coffee, but knew I would never get to sleep if I did. I've heard people reporting that breakfast at Kouzzina is really good, so I will have to put that on the itinerary for a future trip.

We walked and shopped our way back through International Gateway, stopped to listen to British Invasion in the UK Pavilion, and then took one last ride on Spaceship Earth before calling it a night. I cried a little as we said goodbye to The Ball. No matter how long we stay at Disney, I am always just a little bit sad when it's time to go. We took the bus back to OKW and settled down by about 10 pm.
