Day 2 started early as we headed to Animal Kingdom for morning extra magic hours. We had intended on doing the safari before our 910 reservation with Donald at the safari breakfast but while we were in line for the truck, everything stopped. Apparently the animals were just all over the place and blocking traffic which would have been awesome if we were on a truck on the safari and I’m sure everyone out there had a great time but for us, it meant we had to get out of line or we would have been late for our breakfast reservation. So we grabbed a couple pics before breakfast and then enjoyed our time with Donald before doing the safari.
I wish we had been able to do the safari in the extra magic hours as the animals always seem so much more active but we had a great time and the elephants were fun to watch as they played in the water
Next up was something our son INSISTED on. Last year for the very first time, he had his face painted. It was really special and he still talks about it so when we walked through Dino-land on our way to Dinosaur, he jumped at the chance to be a dino-boy again.
He rode Dinosaur for the first time and was excited but WOULD NOT do it again.
He said no.
Just after lunchtime, we headed over to Epcot and had a great time at Turtle Talk with Crush before our Garden Grill reservations.
Garden Grill was a first for us and we LOVED it. OMG. The maple syrup butter rolls. SO. GOOD.
After dinner we decided to make it an early evening and head back to the resort…partly because we had been at Animal Kingdom so early and partly because we would have two more early mornings in a row and we’re not by nature early morning people but I had to run up the monorail ramp and grab this one last pic.
