just thought, for anyone new to the site, we could start a little intro to disney by giving some info about when was our first trip and how often since then... My first trip was in 1994 when my oldest niece, who danced, was picked (her whole group of course) to dance on stage at the Magic Kingdom....funny it was so long ago the stage isnt even there any more... but that was my first trip. always thought it would be so expensive to go to WDW...but then i found the all star resorts and annual passes and i was hooked... lost track but this is either 22 or 23 coming up this august. picture is from my first trip, my niece is the last one on the right

Great idea Susan! My first trip was for Disney Magic Music days with my high school band (that same stage youposted a pic of Susan!), I was 16 and it was 1992. I went 2 weeks later for spring break with my family. After that, I didn't go again until 2000. I have been 11 times.

My first trip was in 1987 at age 10. We were living in Saudi Arabia, had come to visit my grandparents, aunt and cousin in DC, and somehow they decided we'd all go visit my great aunt and some of my mom's cousins in Orlando and do WDW for three days. Went a few more times as a kid, then my family has been 5 times. I just found out that Taylor's band director is pushing for them to go next year- guess who two volunteer chaperones are going to be?

I was an adult the first time I went in 2000. We (DH and I) did an uber-cheap, spur-of-the-moment trip with 3 of our friends. We booked a room and a car on Priceline and used some leftover tickets my friend's parents had (oops!). I think the whole trip cost around $300, and it was so much fun. We went to MGM (now DHS), Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. I was probably one of those tourists saying, "Wait! There are 4 parks? " I was completely clueless! I was hooked after that visit and started our next trip as soon as we came home.

My first trip was in 1972 (yeah, I'm that old). I fell in love with the place and DW and I have been back more than 130 times in 32 years of marriage. We live close and are able to go to WDW three or four times a year. We have Florida resident annual passes, a timeshare in Kissimmee and can drive there in less than three hours, so it doesn't cost us very much except for the times we stay in a Disney resort. Only those who are here at Magical Trips can understand why we never get tired of going.

My first trip to WDW was in 1977. I was 13 years old. My mom, dad, and 2 younger sisters and I shared one room at the Polynesian. Only the Magic Kingdom existed, and you needed E-Tickets for the "big" rides. (We spent a lot of time on the free rides, like Carousel of Progress, the PeopleMover and Eastern's "If You Had Wings" because you could ride them for free. I became fascinated with the monorail on that trip, and memorized both the English and Spanish announcements to "please stand clear of the door." I've been on dozens of trips to WDW since 1977, and recently bought into the Disney Vacation Club at Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort. My feelings of joy, nostalgia, and fascination for the monorail and the Magic Kingdom that were born on that first trip continue to this very day.

My first trip was in 1972, with my grandparents and cousin. She and I flew down to FL from "the north" and spent a few days with my grandparents, who stayed in the Tampa area each winter (for a month or so at that point). They took us to Magic Kingdom and to Busch Gardens.
The first trip with DH and my kids was in 1991. We stayed off site at a Quality Inn and I was definitely in "commando style" touring. Had the Birnbaum book. We had breakfast at the Empress Lily. I have to scan a pick or two to add to the post.
We didn't return again until 1994, but after that, we became "regulars", at least once every 12-18 months and now even more often, if possible.

My first trip was in 2001, when we went down to Kissemmee with my husbands job for a conference. We only had time for 1 day at Disney World and went to Magic Kingdom. We were hooked after that first trip. We have been to Disney 6 times.

My first trip was in 1978 when I was four years old. Just me, Mom, and Dad. It was only the Magic Kingdom and we had a "Passport" that you wore around your neck by a string so that you didn't have to use the ticket booklet. We stayed offsite. We went back in 1979 with my aunt and uncle, and then didn't make it back until 1988. And then didn't make it back again until 2003, which was our first time staying on property, and have been "regulars" ever since. Now, Bill's first trip was in 2006 while we were dating. My parents were taking a trip and offered for us to join them for the weekend and they would pay for a hotel room for Bill, our tickets, and our tickets to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party--we just had to pay for our airfare. So he had a whirlwind weekend introduction to WDW and was so hooked we did the Disney Cruise for our honeymoon, Disneyland Paris for our 1st Anniversary (we were stationed in England), and when he was TDY in CA he went to Disneyland. Kaity's first trip was this past December. She had WAY more fun than we expected she would. Loved the characters, loved It's a Small World, and Playhouse Disney Live!
