Day 2 continued After breakfast we went back to our original plan of heading to Animal Kingdom. We headed to do Dinosaur and Baby Swap only it broke down while we were in line for the first ride. So, we met back up with my mom and got in line for Kaity to ride the Triceratop Spin! She was a bit unsure when we took off, but soon loved it, and cried when it stopped! Then we stopped by to visit Pooh and Friends--Kaity was a bit unsure of Pooh in that strange hat and scarf! A ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris was next: But Kaity didn't make it to the end: (same thing happened on the Great Movie Ride) She LOVED the Festival of the Lion King: We headed to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner at Whispering Canyon. Since we were a walkup we had a bit of a wait. We chilled in the lobby and Kaity had fun exploring: And trying on a set of Mickey ears: Then we finished the day at Downtown Disney, where Kaity got her first Donald Duck:

We got to the Magic Kingdom bright and early for our first seating at Crystal Palace. Kaity was appropriately wearing her Winter Pooh top and pants. We eagerly got in line and waited to be let inside: Then waited to be summoned to enter the Crystal Palace Kaity was really starting to get the hang of this character breakfast thing. She was excited to see Pooh Called for Eeyore by name "Ee-yo" when she spotted him at the table before ours Enjoyed a hug with Piglet And palled around with Tigger We took in some rides until it was time for her first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop. Bangs only! We were a bit disappointed that they were out of commemorative mouse ears. We had to leave our address to have them mailed. When they arrived, over a month later, I was not happy. It was just a plain set of WDW Mouse Ears with 1st Haircut embroidered on the back. So why on earth couldn't they just give us a voucher to get a pair of mouse ears and embroider them there? What good did those Mouse Ears do us a month later? Okay... After the haircut we got a silhouette made Then we decided to head to the Studios to spend the rest of the day until our Fireworks Dessert Party later.

We got her changed into her DHS custom and headed out to the park. (btw, she is still rearfacing. This was taken by either me or mom sitting next to her.) She got a new hat Rode the Great Movie Ride and crashed out...stayed asleep through stroller transfer After she woke up, we went to Playhouse Disney Live! On our way in we passed a Meet n Greet with Manny and she promptly started shouting "Manny! Manny! Manny!" Can I mention we had no idea she could say Manny??? So after the show, we got in line to meet Manny. When we got within sight of Manny and only about a couple people ahead of us, Kaity started primping her hair!!! She was starstruck! (Oh, the CM handling the line LOVED her outfit and told Manny there was a starlet coming to see him!) So after that magical moment, Poppa just had to get his granddaughter a Manny doll. We searched all over DHS for a large Manny, but this was the only size to be had. (Side note, we have since found giant Manny at the Disney Store mountain of plush) Soon it was time for: It was COLD! But oh so worth it! We took some family pictures on our way out and then headed back to the room Tomorrow....EPCOT!

Great trip report! I especially love the pictures at Crystal Palace and the one of Kaity in her hat at the dessert party. She looks so cute! By the way, I would have been annoyed about the mouse ear situation too. How can they be out of them? And you are right, they should have given you a voucher for a regular pair to be embroidered. Can't wait to read more!

Started this day off at DHS...breakfast with the Playhouse Disney friends!!! Actually, everyone went to see if we could get a table while I dashed off to get FP for everyone for Toy Story Mania. I got there after they were all seated and, naturally, my cell phone wouldn't work properly til I was almost at the restaurant! Anyway, they'd JUST gotten seated when I caught up to them. Kaitlyn had a blast, as usual! Once Kaity realized all her pals were there, when they played Imagination Movers songs, she started looking for them! Had to tell her they weren't going to be there. LOL Oso loved her and kept coming back to ruffle her head as he passed by. Then we took in some more sights and sounds at DHS. One Man's Dream And a visit with Sorcerer Mickey! We headed over to Animal Kingdom next Kaity and Poppa took a ride And Bill tried to tag along After this my Dad was wiped out so he headed back to the room to take a nap and we continued on to the Grand Floridian to enjoy the Christmas decorations!

Kaity had a wonderful time in the lobby And enjoyed some gingerbread! Then we decided to catch the bus back to DHS Kaity had fun running between the benches and collecting leaves as we waited And being silly We went to Mama Melrose's for dinner And checked out the Osborne Lights, where Kaity made a new friend And, finally, we redeemed our FP for Toy Story and rode it! The next day was supposed to be departure day, but we decided after the frigid week and calling it quits early of this trip, we'd stay til the afternoon, then hit the road and go as far as we could, stopping part of the way home.
